ABOUT AVIFAUNA

Nature conservation

Vogelpark Avifauna is a foundation. This means that all proceeds are immediately reinvested in the animals and the park. As a contemporary zoo, we take our social responsibility in the field of biodiversity, education, bird care and nature conservation. We help nature wherever we can: from the Green Heart to the farthest corners of the world.

Sharing and deploying knowledge

Our day is good when our visitors have had a good time, but our day is even better when we were able to teach them something too. We like to share our knowledge and expertise, and we also actively use it to achieve our objectives. You will always recognize our ambition to protect vulnerable nature in the projects we support.

We pass on nature

Within the context of European zoos (EAZA), for example, we work closely together on conservation programs for endangered birds and other animals. The joint zoos are also actively involved in the various conservation programs, and in the conservation of animal species in the wild. We are proud to be a full part of the great, shared endeavor to pass on nature to future generations.

Contribute

We invest part of our proceeds in nature conservation projects, both in our own environment and far beyond our national borders. Of course, we cannot do this alone: visitors, sponsors and donors also contribute to nature conservation. Below we would like to tell you more about recent (local and international) projects to which we have contributed. Do you also want to contribute?
