Park regulations

A number of rules have been drawn up to guarantee the safety of visitors, the birds and the buildings in the bird park. Every visitor must adhere to this, for a safe and pleasant visit. These rules apply when entering our bird park.

1. Access

  • Visiting the park is only allowed if you are in possession of a valid admission ticket and during the
    official opening hours from 9am to 00pm.
  • Everyone who is in the park must be in possession of a valid entrance ticket and must present it
    show request. You should therefore keep this ticket carefully during the visit. It
    admission ticket loses its validity when you leave the park. If necessary you can park
    leave in the meantime, only in consultation and with the cooperation of the cashiers.


2. General

  • Entering the park and parking is at your own risk.
  • It is only allowed to walk on the marked paths.
  • All parents and chaperones of groups are responsible for those under their charge in the park
    .
  • Unaccompanied children may be refused entry.
  • If you believe that you have experienced (unjustified) inconvenience during the visit, you can
    make an objection at the cash desk or reception of the park and have it put in writing.


3. Safety

  • The safety regulations that are communicated by means of signs or instructions from staff
    indicated must be followed completely and immediately.
  • In connection with your own safety and that of our animals, it is not allowed to pet or touch the animals
    touch.
  • Feeding the animals is not allowed, with the exception of cups of nectar in the Lori Landing and
    fish food.
  • Letting waste or other objects end up in the animal enclosures is strictly prohibited, as is the
    sticking hands, fingers, sticks or other objects through the bars or fences.


4. Calamity

  • In the event of an emergency, you must follow the instructions of our employees.
  • Immediately after reporting to 112, you should always contact the Avifauna emergency line (0172 –
    487459).


5. Items brought along

  • Radios and other sound equipment may not be used as they may cause nuisance
    both animals and other visitors.
  • Rolling equipment, such as (children's) bicycles, roller skates and skateboards are not allowed. Children's and
    Strollers, balance bikes and children's scooters as well as wheelchairs and rollators are an exception to this.
  • Possessing weapons and/or carrying weapons or dangerous objects is prohibited. Upon detection
    immediate eviction from the park applies without reimbursement of costs.


6. Pets and Animals

  • Pets are not allowed in the park. This is because there are more and more areas where you as a visitor
    walks among the animals. This can frighten animals, injure themselves or even contract diseases.
  • Assistance dogs are allowed, if recognized trained and clearly recognizable as assistance dogs.


7. Appearance

  • Vogelpark Avifauna asks you to wear appropriate clothing. At least one should also be used at high temperatures
    shirt, shorts and footwear.


8. Photographing and filming

  • Taking photos and film recordings in the park is permitted, provided it is for your own use.
  • Professional photography and video for commercial use is permitted only with written permission
    of the Marketing Communications department.
  • It is possible that you as a visitor are filmed or photographed. Vogelpark Avifauna retains this right
    material for publication.


9. Cameras

  • We would like to point out that both visible and invisible camera surveillance is present for protection
    of your own and our safety and property.


10. Attractions, presentations and feedings

  • The use of the playgrounds, playground equipment, etc. is at your own risk.
  • When using attractions and other facilities, the instructions/rules of use, which are on the
    signs or indicated by the park employees must be followed.
  • The management reserves the right to close attractions. Reasons for this may include; the
    weather conditions, necessary maintenance and too high or too low visitor numbers.
  • The management also reserves the right to make changes to the public feeds and
    times, or cancel it without giving any reason.


11. Damage

  • The park is carefully maintained. Yet you can be confronted with less pleasant things.
    If you encounter such a situation, you are requested to always report this immediately to one of the
    park employees.
  • Damage must always be reported immediately so that it can be recorded on site (see
    liability). Any compensation in the event of notification at a different time is in any case excluded.
  • A case in which you unintentionally cause damage must also be reported.


12. Liability

  • Vogelpark Avifauna only accepts liability for damage caused during a visit to it
    bird park in those cases where there is a shortcoming that can be attributed to the bird park or its employees
    is attributable.


13. Promotion and Sales

  • It is not allowed to promote or sell services and/or products in the park or the
    access roads without prior written permission from the management of Vogelpark Avifauna.


14. Removal

  • Instructions from personnel and/or regulations on the signs must be strictly observed.
  • Physical or verbal violence, or otherwise undesirable behavior towards other visitors and our staff
    is not tolerated. People who do not comply with the house rules can be removed from the park
    and are not entitled to reimbursement of costs.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or narcotics will be refused entry or removed
    park removed without reimbursement of costs.


15. Parking

  • The Road Traffic Act applies to the car park and a maximum speed of 15 km per car applies
    o'clock. Instructions from the staff must be followed.
  • Do not leave valuables or pets in the car or in the parking lot.
  • Cars blocking an exit for other traffic will be removed. The cost of this will
    will be charged to the owner of the vehicle.
  • Parking in disabled spaces is only permitted with a valid disability card, which must be visible for inspection

  • Vogelpark Avifauna is not liable for damage to the car, regardless of the cause, unless it is
    caused by own personnel in the context of intent and/or gross negligence.
  • On busy days, the demand for parking spaces may be higher than the supply. In this

  • Bicycles and mopeds must be parked in the bicycle sheds.


16. Other

  • It is forbidden to smoke in the indoor areas.
  • The catering establishments in the park are completely non-smoking.
    The possible invalidity of any provision in these park regulations does not affect the validity of all others
    stipulate. In matters and events not covered by these park regulations, the park management decides.
