Vogelpark Avifauna continuously invests knowledge and resources in nature conservation projects. Every year we support in various projects, both in our own environment and in vulnerable nature areas elsewhere in the world.

As an employer, Avifauna plays an important role in the region. Hundreds of young people found their first (holiday) job with us. Specialized professionals know where to find us from all over the country, as do many volunteers and interns Besides.

Lorikeets love attention and food. You can feed them a cup of nectar in Lori Landing for €1,50. Before you know it, the lorikeets will be sitting on your hand, chattering!
It's great to see so many animals together, but sometimes you just want to play. You can! The playground has a lot of cool play equipment.
In the Madagascar area you walk among cranes and guinea fowl. And if that is not exciting enough, there are also fluffy ring-tailed lemurs, red-bellied lemurs and red ruffed lemurs!

Meet & greet with the red panda
Have you always wanted to step into the shoes of an animal caretaker?
or do you want a unique look behind the scenes? This is possible every day during the Meet & Greet!
For €32,50 per person you can join the animal keeper at the Red panda.
During the Meet & Greet you will learn all about the red panda. With the red panda you will be taken along in the daily care, where, if all goes well, they will come down for a health check, where you literally look over the shoulder of the animal caretaker while he/she is doing this. The enclosure is even entered. How cool is that! Because of this it is important that you are good on your feet to easily move in and out of the enclosure. This way the safety of yourself and that of the animals can be guaranteed.
The activity lasts approximately 20 minutes and is for a maximum of 4 visitors. The activity is for visitors aged 6 and over. Visitors under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by a (paying) adult.
