Careers

As an employer, Avifauna plays an important role in the region. Hundreds of young people found their first (holiday) job with us. Specialized professionals know where to find us from all over the country, as do many volunteers and interns Besides.

Prices, subscriptions & opening hours

Here you can view the opening hours and rates for a day out in Avifauna, but did you know that a subscription has many advantages? Or look for a guided tour during your visit. Then you will visit the most beautiful places in the park and learn the best facts and trivia about the animals and Avifauna!

From March 29, 2024, open every day from 9.00:18.00 AM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM.

**Residents of Alphen aan den Rijn, Aarlanderveen, Benthuizen, Boskoop, Hazerswoude-Dorp, Hazerswoude-Rijndijk, Koudekerk aan den Rijn and Zwammerdam receive a special Alphen residents rate of €13,50. Only valid at the ticket office of the bird park on presentation of identification showing your place of residence. This also applies to the children.

Guided tours

Do you want to know everything about Avifauna and all our birds? Want to learn about the behavior of the animals, their mating rituals and their secret life? Or just want to add that little bit extra to your visit? Book a tour quickly! During the tour, our enthusiastic and experienced park guides will take you through the park and show you the most beautiful places. They'll tell you everything you want to learn, so just ask!

We charge a fee of €20 for a guided tour for groups up to and including 40 people. For each additional person, €2 per person will be added. The proceeds of these tours go to the various nature conservation projects to which we contribute.

Buy a subscription right away

Haven't looked and played for a long time? Then take out a subscription to Avifauna. You can then visit our park as often as you like, and at the same time you support our animals. All proceeds from the subscription go namely straight to the care of the animals and to the park!

When you immediately purchase the subscription oon the day of your visit, you get your entrance fee at the box office of that day return. NB! Bij   action tickets we charge € 11,00 per person. The free entrance or discount is only valid in 2024 or part of it. If you purchase a subscription in November or December, you will automatically receive the discount program for 2025, which will be announced in December 2024. No rights can be derived from it.

Do you want to keep visiting our park as often as you want?? Extend then your subscription in time! This can be done online. If you this within 3 months after expiration of the subscription, you get € 6,00 discount per subscription. Of course you will also receive ours newsletter and an invitation to our subscriber activities!

During the winter season from November 4, 2024, only open on weekends and daily during school holidays (Central region).

* NB! Paid parking has been introduced from March 29. Standard parking rate for all visitors will be €5 per time. The parking subscription offers subscription holders parking at a greatly reduced rate as long as the bird park subscription is valid. Max. To be used once a day. Definitely not transferable.
