Avifauna renews

Careers

As an employer, Avifauna plays an important role in the region. Hundreds of young people found their first (holiday) job with us. Specialized professionals know where to find us from all over the country, as do many volunteers and interns Besides.

VOGELPARK AVIFAUNA

South Holland outdoor playground

A great fun playground in South Holland can be found in Vogelpark Avifauna. Avifauna is located in Alphen aan den Rijn and is a bird park, zoo and playground all in one. Children can enjoy climbing and scrambling in the playground and in the rest of the park you can also admire birds and other animals.

Come and enjoy hours of fun in our challenging playground!

You can see them from far above everything: the bird tower and the climbing tower with super slides. The large outdoor playground also has a huge trampoline for crazy antics and jumping on. On the jungle island, children can operate excavators. The desert area is great for climbing and romping. There is a terrace adjacent to the playground, where parents and children can enjoy a drink and something tasty.

Because this special outdoor playground is part of a bird park and zoo, there is much more to experience. You can watch all kinds of birds, such as ostriches, hornbills, pelicans and cockatoos. And besides the birds, there are also many animals in Avifauna. Great monkeys, lemurs and little red pandas: there is so much to see! The daily program on our site shows what there is to do every day. The importance of 'playing together' in our playground is emphasized, where children can play together, contributing to an inclusive and joyful play environment.

Our activities are designed to be both fun and educational, so that every discovery is an adventure in itself. The varied offer highlights the wide range of educational activities and species that Avifauna has to offer.

With approximately 230 animal species, Avifauna is more than just a bird park. Over the years we have also welcomed small mammals, which live harmoniously with our feathered residents in natural environments. From colorful parrots and elegant flamingos to the fascinating little penguins, every animal has its own story to tell. We would like to introduce all our special residents to you on our website, but of course nothing beats meeting you in real life!

Play and learn through play in our children's playground

Playing and learning go hand in hand at Avifauna. If you come to a feeding talk, for example with the penguins, monkeys or pelicans, you can ask the zookeepers any questions. You can feed the rainbow lorises, which are colorful parrots from Australia, with a cup of nectar. This way you get to know these birds better. On the map on our website you can quickly see where your favorite animals live.

Discover our facilities for young and old

Our fun playground is the perfect place for a cozy a day out With the whole family. Children can have a blast on the various play equipment: from high slides and swings to challenging trampolines and go-kart tracks. There's plenty of room to run, romp, and climb, so there's never a dull moment for young and old.

Meanwhile, parents can relax on the cozy terrace overlooking the playground while enjoying a refreshing drink or a tasty snack from our restaurant. This way, the family can enjoy a wonderful day of fun and relaxation together in the countryside.

Our playground isn't just ideal for a day out, it's also the perfect place for a children's party or an outing with friends. With a wide range of fun activities and plenty of space for everyone, there's always something new to discover.

Visit our outdoor playground in South Holland

Do your children like to come and play in our outdoor playground and visit the birds and animals in the Bird Park? Buy your tickets online in advance! This is simple and fast and you avoid a possible queue at the checkout. Vogelpark Avifauna is centrally located in the country and easily accessible by public transport and car. If you come by car, you can use our spacious car park for a fee of €5. We would like to welcome you!
