The female has laid two eggs, one of which has already hatched after an incubation period of about 35 days. The expectation is that the second egg will follow soon. Everyone can watch live via the animals live stream and look how carefully this couple is brooding and feeding.
The two were taken in here after a confiscation and are participating in the conservation program of the European zoos. The couple also had a nest last year and had two young, which unfortunately did not survive. The old couple Stellers raised more than 20 young in Avifauna and are currently enjoying their well-deserved retirement in another park.
