As a project manager at Vogelpark Avifauna I work closely with the Alphen aan den Rijn Landscape Fund Foundation and surroundings (SLA)I am proud that we are working with various partners to Kroft walking path have been able to help realize. This new path invites everyone to explore the nature around Alphen aan den Rijn en Nieuwkoop to discover.
Collaboration for a green future
The walking trail was created thanks to the collaboration between the Kroft family. Then IVN, the owners of Oudshoorn estate and the SLAFrom Avifauna, we helped bring stakeholders together, develop plans, and shape the educational elements along the route.
A 7 km long nature walk
The new route makes a circular walk of about 7 kilometres possible. You can start from both Alphen aan den Rijn as Too weirdAlong the way you will pass new bridges, plants and trees that create an attractive and varied landscape. With elements such as pollard willows expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a bird-friendly hedge biodiversity is strengthened and birds and insects are given additional habitat.
This nature walk is sustainably designed and offers hikers a unique way to experience the area. The Kroft walking trail is therefore a valuable addition to the existing hiking trails in South Holland.
Official opening with a festive touch
The official opening was done by the Kroft family, acting mayor of Alphen aan den Rijn Peter Rehwinkel en Alderman of Nieuwkoop Antoinette IngwersenThey jointly unveiled an information board that tells visitors more about this area. Thanks to these boards, the route not only contributes to relaxation, but also to education and nature experience.
